Key facts
- Preparation before travel
- One official in-person registry step in many cases
- Certificate after registration
- Apostille and translations can be arranged when needed
What “one registry appointment” means
One appointment does not mean the entire process takes one day. It means that, after documents and filing are handled, your in-person presence in Portugal can often be limited to the official registry appointment.
What happens before you travel
Same Vibes reviews the document route, checks what must be prepared, files the process and communicates with the registry before you come to Portugal.
What happens on the registration day
You attend the official appointment, complete the registry step and register your marriage under Portuguese law.
What you receive after registration
You leave Portugal officially married with your Portuguese marriage certificate.
What can still take extra time
If you need to use the certificate abroad, we can arrange apostille and certified translations after the registration.
Who should check the route first
Couples with previous marriages, complex citizenship combinations or unusual document issues should check eligibility before making travel plans.
FAQ
Is the appointment a ceremony?
No. It is the official civil registry appointment, not a wedding package or symbolic event.
Can Same Vibes coordinate the date?
Yes. Date coordination is part of the full legal support route once the process is accepted.
